The other collaborative lesson included the students in Sra. Sachar's eighth grade Spanish class and the chicas in the Tenth Age. The eighth grade students created lesson plans that included activities to practice and reinforce conversational questions that the chicas have learned. The reward was A LOT of stickers. The chicas looked like they were infected with sticker pox! Enjoy the slideshow below.
This blog is a great way to start a conversation with your child about what we are doing in Spanish. Below on the right, you will find links to posts about what we are doing in each of the classes. The more you encourage your child to use Spanish at home, the more he or she will feel comfortable using the language in any situation.

Momentos - 11.12.13 - More Collaborative Lessons!!
Today's Momentos feature two collaborative lessons. The first lesson included Sra. Bofill-Polsky's fifth grade Spanish class and the students in 6-E. The fifth grade students created puppet shows and skits to perform for the students in 6-E. Afterwards, the puppets asked the students some basic questions in Spanish from the performances such as, ¿Cómo te llamas?, ¿Cómo estás?, and ¿Cuál es tu color favorito? Finally, the fifth grade buddies taught their Sixth Age friends how to answer some new questions in Spanish, such as ¿Cuántos años tienes tú? The Sixth Age teachers and Sra. Elliott have been so kind to move some classes around so that ALL of the Sixth Age classes could participate in a collaborative activity. ¡Muchísimas gracias! Enjoy the slideshows and video clips below.
