Today's Momentos feture the students in the Eighth Age who have been learning about Navidad in Spain. Today is a special day because the Three Kings came to visit our classroom. The students left their slippers over winter break and the Three Kings filled them with treats last night. They also had the opportunity to taste Rosca de Reyes, which is a pastry typically eaten in many parts of the Spanish speaking world on Día de los Reyes. Inside of the cake is a figurine of a baby. In some countries, people believe that finding the figurine in your piece of pastry will bring you good luck for the year. In other countries, the person who finds the figurine must host a party on February 2nd, which marks the end of the Navidad season. Three students found the figurines. Enjoy the slide show below.
Today's Momentos also feature the Ninth Age chicas who completed their piñatas today.
